Update on September 3, 2106
After several delays, we are delighted that we finally have the opportunity this weekend to set up the apartment for the refugee family who will be arriving next week. But, we need a bit of manpower to make this happen.
At 10 a.m. on Monday, September 5 (Labor Day), we will need at least three large vans or trucks to transport furniture items from several storage locations to the new apartment. We will also need a team of two or three men at each location to help lift and move this furniture. It would also be helpful to have a couple of people at the apartment to help with set up and organization as furniture and other items are delivered. We hope to have the job done by about 1 p.m.
If anyone in the congregation still has items to donate, you can bring them on Sunday to store at the Gatehouse, or you can drop them off directly at the apartment on Monday.
If you are able to help on Monday or if you have questions about dropping off donations, please contact Liz Kay.
