Pausing On-Site Worship

We have experienced some rapid changes in our state and local government responses to the growing numbers of COVID-19 infections and deaths. The Prince George’s County Health Department issued it’s latest directive, effective November 15, 2020, that affects indoor worship during this pandemic.

The directive states:

“Places of Worship: Indoor services are limited to 1 person per 200 square feet, or 25% of maximum occupancy, whichever is lower. Outdoor services continue to be limited to a maximum of 125 persons while maintaining appropriate social distancing.”

  • We have determined that, in our worship center, the one person/200-square-feet number is lower than the 25% and substantially reduces our in-person worship number. Therefore, we must regrettably pause in-person worship for the time being until Prince George’s County issues new directives allowing us to safely return.

  • Sunday worship at  Wallace Presbyterian Church will continue streaming on-line  as our gathering place for Sunday worship.
