Because next year (2017) will mark the 500th anniversary of the start of the Protestant

Reformation, THIS fall DevoLit is reading select passages from some of the “forerunners” of

Martin Luther. Starting September 7, we’ll read things like the preface to the Wycliffe Bible, a

treatise by Jan Hus, a sermon by John Colet, and a letter by Gaspero Contarini. Everyone is

welcome to join us at any time for square meals and roundtable discussions as we explore the

background of this important period of church history.
